How does the InBody scan work?

An InBody composition scan is a 60 second non-invasive bioelectrical impedance analysis. By differentiating between muscle, fat, and total body water, it calculates detailed metrics such as weight, lean muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat, base metabolic rate and biological age assessment.

What equipment or devices do you use?

All our studios have Miha Bodytec EMS machines and an InBody full body composition scanner. Some of our studios have a Medibed full body commercial red light therapy bed.

What are the benefits of EMS Training?

EMS training offers benefits like increased strength, muscle tone, endurance and fat loss in less time than traditional forms of exercise – Please see science and benefits section for more details.

Is a 20-minute session sufficient?

A 20-minute EMS session is considered sufficient often yielding results comparable to 2 hours of traditional gym workouts due to its ability to stimulate all major muscle groups simultaneously. EMS training provides around 85 muscle contractions per second and activates over 90% of muscle fibres including deep tissue.

Can I train on my own or with my partner?

Our studios are designed for a maximum 2 clients to have a training session with a certified trainer either with another client or your partner – Individual 1 on 1 training sessions are available at a premium.

How often should I train?

You should aim for 1-2 sessions per week, with frequency dependant on goals, and allow at least 48-72 hours between sessions – Consistency is key.

How long will it take to see results?

You should feel benefits like more energy and muscle activation immediately, with noticeable strength tone and posture improvements often seen in 4-6 weeks. Studies show significant strength gains and body fate reduction over 12 weeks. Our InBody full body composition scanner allows you to track changes to your composition.

Can EMS Training be used for injury and rehabilitation?

EMS training is highly effective for injury and rehabilitation offering a low impact method to build strength, reduce muscle atrophy and improve blood flow without straining joints. It is also used for post-surgery recovery as it helps restore muscle function by targeting deep muscle fibres.

Can I do EMS training sitting down or in a wheelchair?

Yes, EMS training can be done sitting down or in a wheelchair and is considered ideal for those with limited mobility as it allows for muscle activation and strengthening without the demand, impact and joint strain of conventional workouts.
